Jon Landwer, Manager and Gunsmith.
My name is Jon Landwer, I am from Santa Barbara, California and I have been involved with Front Sight Firearms training for over 19 years. I literally started at the bottom at Front Sight doing construction, security and living on site. I worked for over a year when Dr. Piazza hired me away back to Ca. There I spent over 14 years as Dr. Piazza’s Executive Assistant and Corporate Operations Manager in Santa Cruz, and later in Windsor, Ca. After growing the corporate headquarters to more than 10 full time and part time staff serving over 200,000 members, I resigned and came back to Front Sight to pursue my goal of becoming a Front Sight Instructor. I Attended, and successfully completed the Four Day Instructor Development program and I am currently range qualified and I instruct in all of the primary weapon systems. I have over 25 years experience with firearms, training, diagnostics, function basic and advanced repair. I love building and working on the 1911 platform, a gun I shoot competitively with as I am #3 on the 10 man Guncrafter industries shooting team. We travel around the country and compete in regional and state IDPA competitions with the Guncrafter Industries 1911 pistol. I am also on the Front Sight medical staff as an EMT-B in training, I am a long time first family member # 661. We look forward to serving you at Front Sight.
Brent Neal – Machinist & Gunsmith
Brent first came to Front-Sight as a student in the spring of 2010. Brent brings a unique mechanical aptitude and technical ability to us due to his lifelong love of firearms and being a “tinkerer”. Brent is a Certified Gunsmith from Penn-Foster College. He holds Basic and Advanced Glock Armorer’s certifications and he is the manager of our full-service machine shop where he makes many of the unique fixtures, tooling, and parts we use to repair guns on a daily basis.
